“Green Gold” Mongolian Rangeland Research Center, in collaboration with the Climate Change and Disaster Management Department of the Mongolian Red Cross Society, is conducting a comprehensive training for herders from arid region. The training focuses on rangeland management, fodder production, improving feed supply and water infrastructures in arid regions.

A key feature of this training is its focus on aligning grazing pressure with rangeland carrying capacity and condition, and on supporting the recovery of rangeland vegetation. It also includes practical methods for preparing silage and fodder using locally available raw materials, cultivating fodder crops, improving water infrastructure, and enhancing the sustainability, accessibility, and effectiveness of ponds and small water reservoirs. In addition to classroom sessions, participants are learning from best practices and models tailored to the specific characteristics of their regions.

The training will take place from April 20 to April 28, 2026, with the participation of more than 80 herder representatives from Govi-Altai, Umnugovi, Bayankhongor, and Dundgovi provinces.
