Within the framework of Boroo Gold Company’s Biodiversity Offset Program, since 2018, activities of the Dorgont Pasture Ecosystem and Bortolgoi Shelterbelt Forest Ecosystem offset projects have been successfully implemented.
This research project evaluates the impact of pastoral livestock on biodiversity and the leadership role of women herders using the TAPE methodology – the Tool for Agroecology Performance Evaluation.
The “Sustainable Textile Production and Eco-Label” Project (STeP EcoLab II), funded by the European Union’s SWITCH-Asia Programme, will be implemented from 2025 to 2029, covering 10 soums across three aimags. The project aims to support over 8,000 herder households and more than 120 raw material cooperatives in the following soums: Hangai, Chuluut, and Bulgan of Arkhangai aimag; Uyanga, Bat-Ulzii, and Zuunbayan-Ulaan of Övörkhangai aimag; and Bogd, Jinst, Bayantsagaan, and Bumbugur of Bayankhongor aimag.
The “Strengthening Herders’ Capacity to Adapt to Climate Change through the Creation of Inclusive and Sustainable Value Chains” Project has been officially launched.
